Please Don't Fly Away

I wrote my first song when I was 13, and eventually I wrote two songs, one for my mum and one for my dad. I wrote the actual songs in less than an hour, but it was the melody and beat that really kept me preoccupied. On the day of the anniversary, I sang my song to my Mom, and she actually cried. I think it was one of the proudest moments I've ever had as a writer. But anyway, I was organizing some old files on my Mac, and came across the very thing. So here it is:

Please Don't Fly Away

One day I was thinking,

who’s that one person who

stood by me whenever

no one else had a clue.

Of the pain I was going through,

of the tears that I cried,

Of the hurt that I felt,

But you were my guide.

I don’t know how,

to show my love to you,

to show how grateful I am,

when you helped me to change.

I don’t know how to say,

please don’t go away,

cuz Mom, I love you,

and please don’t fly away.

So many times I’ve hurt you,

but you never showed your pain,

I guess I never realized,

that your sadness came with the rain.

But I am so so sorry,

of all the wrong I’ve done,

If you could forgive me,

then please let it be done.

I don’t know how to show,

to show my love to you,

to show how grateful I am,

when you helped me to change.

I don’t know how to say,

please don’t go away,

cuz Mom, I love you,

and please don’t fly away.

Please don’t fly away.

Please dont fly a...way..
